The sequel to the 2013 hit Captain Marvel is due out in summer 2022, but the movie has already been causing a lot of controversy. The first trailer for the film revealed the character as a lesbian. Fans have speculated that Valkyrie is a lesbian, but the movie never explicitly establishes her sexuality. There is some evidence to suggest that she has a love interest, but there’s no concrete evidence. But the actress Tessa Thompson’s role in the movie may prove otherwise.
While a Valkyrie/Captain Marvel team-up may sound like good news for fans, the film isn’t going to be the most realistic. After all, the characters are already bisexual and that may change in the next movie. It’s also unlikely that the characters will be able to withstand one another’s sexuality. This is a big question that has fans wondering if they’ll ever get a happy ending.
While the cast hasn’t confirmed whether Tessa Thompson will play Valkyrie, the actor who plays her mother, Muneeba Khan, posted a video and a photo of her backstage. The actress’ headshot appears on the set of the upcoming film, but no official confirmation has yet been made. If she does, it will be her second appearance in a Marvel film.
