Brie Larson is an Academy-Award winning actress who made her entrance into the MCU with the movie Captain Marvel. However, there were many people who weren’t happy about this and it caused quite the casting controversy. Many wondered if these irate “fans” would be something Captain Marvel could overcome or if the movie would end up tanking at the box office.
But as we all know, the story of Carol Danvers and her introduction in the MCU had a happy ending. We got to see her become best friends forever with Nick Fury and the movie was a smash hit at the box office, bringing in over a billion dollars. However, many fans thought it was odd that she wasn’t around in Avengers: Infinity War and wondered how she’d fit into the cast of Avengers: Endgame. While she did make an appearance, many people felt it was underwhelming and wondered just what Marvel Studios was thinking. We’ll talk about what went wrong with Carol Danvers in Avengers: Endgame and why it may have been a strategic move on the part of Marvel.
