This film is set to release in September 2022 and it will feature the return of Carol Danvers along with Monica Rambeau, aka Spectrum, who was introduced in this year’s WandaVision Disney+ series. Kamala Khan, known as Ms. Marvel, will be a new addition to the screen as she will first be introduced in her own solo series ‘Ms. Marvel’, also airing 2022, and then featured in The Marvels alongside Carol and Monica.

The Marvels is a sequel to Captain Marvel and was retitled earlier this year from Captain Marvel 2. Not much has been revealed about the plot but we do know that Carol Danvers takes care of a lot of other planets, meaning lots of cosmic trouble could call for a big, powerful team-up. Fans has been dying to see Nova since Guardians of the Galaxy featured the Nova Corps, from which the superhero Nova is made, and have speculated that he will be appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. However, it isn’t unlikely that he could make an appearance in this film considering his power type and background.

This trailer sees Kamala Khan, Monica Rambeau and Carol Danvers begin to form a team to head up into space, along with a young Nova who I decided to cast as Fionn Whitehead. It has been rumoured that Marvel are interviewing a young Christopher Nolan actor to play Nova in the MCU.
