My Top Captain Marvel Endorsement Titles
Captain Marvel has been around since 1963, but it was a while before we got to see any of his solo adventures. While all of those movies were fun and captivating to some degree, I feel that the Captain Marvel endgame, the tie-ins to Secret Invasion, and even the lack of solo adventure worked better. With that said, here is my list of what I think the best Captain Marvel stories are.
The Death of Captain Marvel by Joe Keaney After living for decades as a nomadic warrior, young Carol Danvers returns to live in Australia. She is a skilled fighter, a great cook, and skilled at sword crafting. While living with her aunt and uncle, she slowly learns about her true identity and where she came from. It is here, in the Australian outback, that she meets an escaped convicts known as Ms Marvel. The two run across the desert, and while fighting off marauding natives, they encounter a massive cyclone, which causes them to flee further into the wild.
Secret Invasion by Brian Bendis After being forced into retirement due to a battle with the X-Men, Professor Xavier recruits six new recruits, such as Jean Grey, Rogue, Storm, Gambit, and Nightshade. The team goes on a mission to rescue the planet of Xandar from an invading force of villainous Xorns. As the team fights through the dangerous jungle, they come across a vicious predator-you guessed it, the evil android. Bendis eventually wins the fight, and the android is taken away, but not before Cyclops and Jean Grey discover the truth about their previous encounter.
