Captain Marvel’s Kree name is Car-Ell. It’s a name that’s nearly identical to Superman’s. The film’s release date is November 4, 2019, so we’ll likely see this name before too long. The film’s plot is already rooted in space, and the Kree are set to join the MCU. The title of the movie is a nod to Carol Danvers’ past. The character was introduced as an Air Force officer before she was given the Kree powers.
Carol Danvers gained her alien genes from her mother Marie, and she is the current Captain Marvel. In the comics, her original Kree name is Car-Ell. The Kree are trying to rebuild Hala and reclaim their ancient lands. The conflict left billions of people dead, and it’s unclear when the team will reach that goal. This means that the characters will have to work together to rebuild their home planet.
The Kree name isn’t the only choice for the Kree race. There are some notable exceptions. Nenora, Sintaris, and Ultimus were originally given the names Carol Danvers had before learning her true identity. Despite the controversy, some fans don’t mind the change, and it’s a great way to get a little fun with the names of the heroes and villains.
