The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been missing a female superhero that is on par with its most prominent male heroes for quite some time now. In an attempt to rectify that, Marvel Studios planted Carol Danvers firmly in the spotlight with Captain Marvel. But how does she compare to the DCEU’s wonder woman?
Both women are powerful in their own way. But, based on their abilities and combat skills, who would win in a fight between them? Wonder Woman, also known as Diana Prince, is an Amazonian princess who embodies the ideals of feminism and strength. The warrior princess hails from the hidden island of Themyscira and is able to use her impressive powers and combat skills to defend herself and those around her.
One of her most impressive attributes is that she is able to harness cosmic energy, which amplifies her powers and makes her nearly invincible. Additionally, she is incredibly agile and has incredible hand-to-hand combat skills, making her a deadly opponent.
However, despite her amazing abilities, there are some aspects that make her less powerful than Captain Marvel. For example, her reliance on her sword can be a disadvantage when fighting against someone as skilled as Captain Marvel.
Overall, both films are fantastic, but if we had to pick one, I would go with Wonder Woman. It has a better story, better action, and a more likable lead character. Plus, it has a betrayal from the big bad that actually feels like a betrayal, unlike in Captain Marvel where David Thewlis just doesn’t work as the villain.
