After being transformed into an outsider through the destruction of his home planet of Galactus, young Peter Parker, now known as Spider-Man, sets out to find out who destroyed his world and if his Uncle Ben was responsible. The two of them become partners in crime fighting when they discover a mysterious criminal mastermind, but the Vulture, a.k.a. The Spider-Man that was responsible for the destruction of his world, also tries to recruit the young hero to his army of villains. This super hero knows he has a difficult road ahead of him in becoming a crime-fighting super hero, but he is aided by a new girl, Mary Jane Watson (Emma Stone), who also has her own fighting skills.
Mary Jane Watson falls in love with Peter immediately, which leads to a romantic situation for the two of them. But a sudden accident has paralyzed Peter, leaving him in a coma. When he wakes up in a hospital, however, he realizes he doesn’t remember much about his life before he was transformed into an alien, and he’s not alone in this situation. A team of scientists, headed by Dr. Curt Connor (Martin Sheen) are attempting to develop a machine that will allow people to simply exist without memories, but this machine will have serious side effects on those who use it, and they’re only willing to release the product if Spider-Man does some sort of favor in return.
As this crazy adventure continues throughout the course of the movie, we learn more about Peter Parker, who decides that he needs to stick with being a super hero so he can protect the world and learn how to be a better person in his spare time. It’s a very emotional movie that just about every comic book fan should take the time to experience. If you’re a fan of Spider-Man, this movie is definitely recommended!
