Captain Marvel is an extraterrestrial Kree warrior who is caught up in an intergalactic war. She is now living on Earth in 1995, but keeps having flashbacks to her previous life, which are often based on her childhood memories of her Kree family. Her quest is to find out what happened to her people and to harness her special powers to end the conflict with the evil Skrulls.
Captain Marvel has a runtime of two hours and four minutes. That makes it a little longer than your average superhero movie, but it is still significantly shorter than recent MCU movies. However, the movie is not without flaws. For one thing, Captain Marvel feels like a feature-length trailer of the character.
The film stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Brie Larson as Carol Danvers. The movie also stars Jude Law and Clark Gregg, who play Starforce commanders, and Djimon Hounsou as a new character, Korath. The film also stars Gemma Chan and Djimon Hounsou.
The film contains many battle scenes in which characters are shot and thrown around. In one particular scene, a male character makes a sexually suggestive joke about the cockpit of a dead alien. Fortunately, there are no sexual scenes in Captain Marvel, but it contains plenty of violent material. Despite this, though, the film is a story about female empowerment.
